Windows Configuration Monitor

The Windows Configuration Monitor, available only in ELM Enterprise Manager, extends the current "System Information" folders that appear under ELM Service and Virtual Agents in the ELM Console. The System Information is collected periodically by the Windows Configuration Monitor. The Monitor will generate alerts when something changes in the configuration, and will maintain a history of the changes. Administrators can compare systems to each other, or make comparisons of the same system over time.

The Agent - System Information folder (see picture above) displays the system information from the last date scanned by default. The filter options for Added/Changed/Deleted are disabled until a compare is performed. A simple right-click in the results pane brings up a menu for the Compare options.

System Information can be compared to any system on any date it was scanned. The display will show results as compared to the other agent with color coding showing showing which changes have taken place.

For example selecting Lab8 in the display and comparing it to SalesW2K8, you will see the differences such as the OS Name, Version, Processor and much more in the picture below.
