ELM Log Manager 5.5 is designed on the same enterprise class architecture as our flagship product ELM Enterprise Manager. This rules based system monitoring, alerting and reporting software solution uses small footprint Agents, either as real-time installed Service Agents or polling Virtual Agents to collect critical event log data from hundreds of systems, monitor firewalls and network devices. The data collected is processed at the central ELM Server, consolidated and stored in a Microsoft SQL Server database. Information is presented through the ELM Log Manager console in granular format, empowering System Administrators and IT Managers with real-time event management. ELM Log Manager is your complete compliance and security event log management solution.

ELM Log Manager monitors more than Windows event logs. You can also monitor TCP and UDP Syslogs and SNMP Traps as well as flat files such as:

Microsoft ISA Server log files
Internet Information Services log files
SQL Server error logs
Backup software log files

Anti-virus software log files
Static HTML files
User-created flat files

Data Storage
All data is securely stored in Microsoft SQL Server databases. ELM requires two database instances; the Primary Database for real-time reporting and a Failover Database to ensure data continuity should the Primary Database be unavailable. In addition, unique pruning and archiving features efficiently manage the data for long term storage needs. The ELM Server provides exceptional event and compliance data management.

Easy to Access
ELM Log Manager utilizes the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) as its primary interface. The ELM Console is for configuring and viewing the data you are monitoring. A read-only Web Viewer with a powerful search feature is also included.
