Server Monitoring and Windows Event Log Management Solutions

ELM Server |
||
The central processing engine for ELM Enterprise Manager and ELM Event Log Monitor is the ELM Server. It is a standalone application that receives data transmitted from the installed Agents, polls with Virtual Agents and is the receiver for Syslog messages and SNMP traps. All configurations and settings are managed by the ELM Server. As the data is collected, it is prepared for insertion in to the Primary Database and is processed against preconfigured and custom Filters to launch notifications and create Views. The Class and quantity of Licenses defining the Agents' functionality is also controlled by the ELM Server. The ELM Server manages the reporting features and data storage. Preconfigured ELM Publisher reports are generated from data stored in the Primary database. Alternately, the ELM Editor custom reporting engine can collect data from the Primary or any of the managed Archive Databases. The ELM Server has been tuned to provide enterprise class scalability for responsive and reliable real-time system monitoring and automated event log management. |
