TNT Software in the 2006 IT Event Correlation and Analysis (ECA) Magic Quadrant: Evaluation Based on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute
Vancouver, WA, June 15, 2006 TNT Software, Inc., a leading provider of event monitoring, alerting, reporting and archiving solutions, today announced it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the 2006 IT Event Correlation and Analysis Magic Quadrant report.1
In the report, Gartner selected event monitoring software providers based on the providers' ability to execute and completeness of vision. Gartner noted that the evaluation criterion for completeness of vision includes a corporate ability to understand and grow in the direction of industry trends, and the corporate "emphasis on best practices and the ease of deploying the event management solution, not just on product features."
We believe this report by Gartner confirms the importance of the TNT Software mission to improve IT operations by supporting proactive system management objectives, said Brent Skadsen, General Manager of TNT Software. With the newly launched ELM 4.0 product, we deliver a truly powerful, easy-to-use product that continues to be the standard for the ECA industry.
ECA tools like TNT Softwares ELM 4.0 improve the productivity of the IT operations staff by reducing the time it takes to troubleshoot problems. These tools consolidate events from the various devices and applications in use on the corporate network and, in the case of ELM 4.0, have the ability to process those events using filters to notify IT operations and automate corrective actions in real time. The future of these tools holds promise for further processing of events including analysis to determine root cause and associating events with potential business impact.
