ELM Server Performance Counters

Once installed, the ELM Server publishes several performance objects and counters which can be monitored and collected using ELM Enterprise Manager, ELM Performance Manager, or any other tool, utility or application that can open, read and display elements of the performance subsystem (e.g., Performance Monitor, etc.).

The table below lists the performance objects and counters published by the ELM Server. Note that the object name depends on the ELM Server that is installed (e.g., ELM Enterprise Manager, ELM Log Manager or ELM Performance Manager). Also note that ELM Performance Manager does not have an Event object (e.g., there is no ELM Performance Manager Events performance object), because this product does not receive events.

	Monitor Jobs - Active	N	Current number of active monitor items in the server process.
	Monitor Jobs - Failed	N	Number of monitor items that have failed to execute or properly complete.
	Monitor Jobs - Pending	N	Current number of monitor items that are pending execution.
	Notification Jobs - Active	N	Current number of active notifications (e.g., notifications in progress).
	Notification Jobs - Failed	N	Number of notifications that have failed to execute or properly complete.
	Notification Jobs - Pending	N	Current number of notification methods that are pending execution.
	Sessions - Active	N	Current number of active sessions with the ELM Server. An active session is a DCOM connection between an ELM Console and the ELM Server, as well as temporary sessions are occasionally created internally by the ELM Server.
	Sessions - Peak	N	Maximum number of active sessions.
