Syslog Notification

ELM supports native, integrated Syslog messages as a notification method. This enables administrators to forward alerts and events to a Syslog server (daemon). Syslog servers are available for multiple platforms, including Windows, Unix, Linux and others.

In the above illustration, events from monitored Windows workstations and servers are sent to the ELM Server. Using Notification Rules in conjunction with the Syslog Notification Method enables the forwarding of some or all of the events to a Syslog server. Any event, including incoming SNMP traps and Syslog messages, can be re-transmitted as Syslog messages to any Syslog server/daemon in your organization.
