Texas Holdem Tournament a Winner at TechEd 2005
Vancouver, WA, June 10, 2005 TNT Software's Texas Holdem Tournament was at the top of attendees must do list at TechEd 2005 in Orlando this week. We had them lined up in the aisles waiting for a spot at a table, laughs Steve Taylor, President of TNT Software. It was the hit of the show.
The tournament, held at TNT Softwares booth, opened with the show and ran through four days of hot competition. With 170 players, 19 games, this was a major tournamentthe numbers were astounding, said Brent Skadsen, General Manager of TNT Software.
The winners of each Sit & Go round lived to compete against each other in the final round on Thursday. There were eight winners at the final table..
Jamie Redman of Clear Picture Corporation finally walked away with top honors and a 500 count poker set with case. The winning hand was two pair. Redman has been a regular player, online and in two groups, for two years. I prefer playing at a table to online, since there are so much more dynamics to the game when you are sitting next to your opponents Redman says. He continued, I would also like to thank you and TNT Software for providing the Holdem tournament at TechED. It was a great environment and there were some great players there as well.
Second through fifth place winners took home 300 count poker sets with cases, and sixth through eighth place winners won Copag Plastic Playing Cards.
Winners in order from second through eighth place at the final table were:
- Second: Ian Wilshaw, CenCorp
- Third: Greg Mathis, Publix Super Markets, Inc
- Fourth: Mike Myers, Hershey Foods Corporation
- Fifth: Jim Mattingly, eMonarch
- Sixth: Dan Hagens, Concurrent Technologies Corporation
- Seventh: Bill Bayliff, Avanade
- Eighth: Ned Rynearson, Idea Integration
TNT Software thanks Jamie and all who participated. We look forward to seeing you next year.
